Our Economics program will provide you with the necessary tools to understand how individuals reach decisions and make use of their resources in a range of contexts. As an economist, this will enable you to design better policy instruments that work in favor of society’s wellbeing and of solving the most pressing social and economic problems.Our mission is for you to train as a social scientist with great curiosity for understanding the complexities of your environment, and for generating public policies and intervention strategies that promote the wellbeing of individuals in different fields such as education, health, work, the environment, international trade, finance and territorial planning, among others. You will become an expert in understanding economic and social phenomena and measuring, analyzing and studying data and information thoroughly and creatively.
