abstract

  • With the advent of Web 2.0, traditional media in Villavicencio plunged into the virtual world, becoming digital media by incorporating participation and communication tools called interactivity. From this angle, this research focuses on examining the interaction mechanisms foreseen by three important Villavicencio radio cybermedia (Ondas del Meta, Villavo FM and Decibeles). Specifically, the following research question is proposed: To what extent can Villavicencio users participate with the content broadcast from the websites of the indicated stations? The previous question arises because, within the transformations of Web 2.0, interactivity becomes the basis that describes online media (Arcila et al., 2018). In addition, this work is relevant because, according to Barrios (2013), it is not enough just to offer mechanisms with accessibility to the content, but the web page must use other alternatives that help the user to explore all the information contained therein. Hence, the use of notes with hyperlinks, images or videos that illustrate what happened, or podcasts that include sound narrations, are interesting for the user, given that, as has been explained, he is, as well as a consumer, a content producer. (Fenoll, 2011). Likewise, creating spaces such as blogs or chats allows immediate and active communication with the medium in order to satisfy their need to be well informed (Castellano, 2016), and influence the type of information that the medium is broadcasting.
