Nowadays in the business world there are more companies making part of interorganizational networks, that’s because belonging to this kind of organizations, companies create mutual support without imposing actions to be performed between them (Sulbrandt, Lira, Ibarra, 2001). In previous years there have been several investigations about interorganizational networks, studying economic, financial and market factors, but not the field of human resources and its practices. That is why this research seeks to describe, explain, analyze, and compare, among other intellectual activities, concepts of inter-organizational networks, human resource practices and benchmarking to finally propose the design of a system of benchmarking which identifies the best human resource practices of every company in an interorganizational network and implement them into that network.
