abstract

  • This contribution establishes the characteristics of the process of production and circulation of financial education, as well as the transplantation of this agenda to the Colombian institutional context during the last decade. The normative and policy texts in which it materializes are specified, while identifying the actors who have participated in its global promotion and specifically its importation into the Colombian sphere. It is concluded that this general project, as the OECD calls it, is not only about the transfer of standards, but rather the disclosure of arguments that guarantee them an intellectual and political platform. On this point, it describes the guiding rationality that prevails in the version of financial education promoted by the OECD and the G20, transferred to Colombia, which is oriented towards the formation of a financial subjectivity.
