  • In recent years, consumers have become more aware about environmental care, forcing companies to change both its processes and inputs used. A clear example is the organic clothing, this industry is promoting the fabrication of garments througth organic and recycled inputs, minimizing waste and impact during its production process. Currently, there are several companies that have started manufacturing this type of clothing, especially in Europe, where Sweden and the United Kingdom the most representative. This paper studied the feasibility of organic clothing in Colombia, taking as reference the aforementioned countries. Surveys were applied to a representative sample, as well as a detail analysis about production and consumption trends of ecological clothing in Bogota, Colombia. In addition, through the surveys, Colombian consumer behavior was studied and a comparison was made against recent studies developed in European countries. In conclusion, it was found that despite the absence of businesses and shops focused on the industry, the Colombian consumer would be willing to buy organic clothing. Throughout the document, it was explained in detail the characteristics sought by Colombians when they are buying organic clothes, the place where they prefer to buy it, the value they are willing to pay and the reasons or motive to perform these actions.
