  • This article contributes to the Behavioral Finance research, which is a corporate finance branch that considers the individual that takes financial decisions is not completely rational and in fact there are psychological biases that influence their decisions. This paper focuses, from a conceptual point of view and also by analyzing a field study, on the influence of happiness in investment decisions in long-term assets for a group of seven financial directors located in the city of Bogotá in 2016. In the document appears the general concept of behavioral finances, also the concept of happiness is defined and sub-variables determinant for the happiness of the individual are presented, such as: health, balance work / life, education and skills , social connections and environmental conditions. Finally it is presented how this key variables affect financial managers in their decisions according to the research.
