  • ABSTRACT. INTRODUCTION: Psychosocial risks in recent years have become important because they are closely related to the development of diseases caused by stress in both the general population and the working community. In this way the psychosocial risks become a focus of interest when prevention at work is treated.OBJECTIVE: To identify the psychosocial risk factors to which the workers of an agricultural and food company located in Chile in the year 2016 are exposed.METHODS: A cross-sectional study was carried out with secondary data from 194 workers. Socio-demographic, labor and psychosocial risk variables were included. As an instrument, the ISTAS 21 questionnaire was used, which allows the evaluation and prevention of this risk, measures the dimensions of psychosocial exposure and health, stress and satisfaction. In the descriptive analysis in the quantitative variables were calculated the mean central tendency, median and dispersion measures as range and standard deviation. In the qualitative ones the absolute frequency and percentage were calculated , the statistical program SPSS version 22 was used RESULTS: The minimum age was 25 and the maximum age was 55 years. The predominant age groups were between 25-30 years and 36-45 years. It was noted that the majority of the members of this organization were men. The high level of psychosocial risk perceived by workers by percentage in three of the five dimensions was recorded as follows: Active work and development possibilities (48.5%); Social support and leadership quality (52.0%) and double presence (52.6%). The sub-dimensions that were most affected by the high risk were: influence on work (69.4%); Control over working time (53.1%); Possibilities of development in the work (50.0%); Role clarity (66.8%); Quality of the relationship with superiors (52.6%), companions (48.8%) and household tasks (50.0%). CONCLUSIONS: The level of psychosocial risk perceived by workers was high risk in three of the five dimensions of the SUSESO ISTAS-21 questionnaire (active work dimension and development possibilities, social support and quality of leadership and double presence). Based on these findings, it is concluded that if there is a significant presence of unfavorable situations for workers' mental health and a high psychosocial risk that must be faced through the implementation of strategies aimed at reducing the risk in the sub-dimensions that higher risk Presented
