  • The purpose of this research was to investigate the scientific literature the conceptual relationship between the categories physical activity, health, education and curriculum, as part of the concern that originates knowing the shocking figures that affect the health of children and young people in the school stage at worldwide level. The study was made from a qualitative approach, interested in the construction of meanings that arise from the questions of the subject matter of study and characterized by the content analysis of scientific articles. Besides, and coming the international documentation from the curricular guidelines of Latin American countries, a matrix was developed to investigate the presence of the concept of health within the contents that these approach in school physical education.The results describe the theoretical relationship and the importance of studying the subject of physical activity for health and its articulation with the construction of knowledge from the school curriculum, as a fundamental aspect in the prevention of diseases, and as a model of quality improvement of life for children and young people.
