  • The research in its first stage, seeks to analyze the impacts of the practices executed by the Colombian Banking Entities EBC and highlight the benefits that these organizations have obtained in the voluntary adhesion with the Global Compact, during the period from 2011 to 2015, analyzing and verifying that its informed and documented practices in the COPs, is aligned under the ten principles propagated by the Global Compact framed in the areas of Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment and Anti-corruption at an organizational level. In this way, the second stage of the research begins, through the analysis of the practices developed by the four entities studied (Bancolombia, BBVA, Bancoomeva, CorpBanca), the first objective of the research is defined, classifying them into a matrix initially according to the activities reported in the COPs, then based on this classification and organization of information, a multi-criteria analysis is done, looking for the most frequent practices among the EBC and to deepen in the most common practices to explore the benefits and effects for these organizations. The results obtained refer to the approach that the EBC have achieved, creating awareness about the importance of the application of the Global Compact principles in their operations and the impacts they generate on their stakeholders. In conclusion, the effort and awareness of the EBC adhering to the Global Compact creating organizations committed under responsible corporate sustainability schemes.
