  • This paper shows various types of leadership relations to knowledge management. In order to show how theoretical research of transactional and transformational leadership is made, knowledge management will be studied. This study will demonstrate the relationship analysis between leadership concepts and how they influence the sustainability of organizations.There are results that indicate:The existence of a strong relationship between leadership and knowledge managementCompanies may require additional knowledge of characteristics of leadership to facilitateboth comprehension and implementation for the best practices to use in an organization.(Barbosa, Mihi & Noguera, 2013, sección de Resumen, párr. 1)An organization aims to reach targets and seeks the most appropriate strategies for achieving them. This is still an important activity in business management; to organize all human resources for optimization. This may take into account the effects of the environment as well. Therefore, the current business is guided to choose personnel with high leadership skills of knowledge management. Thus, this is the reason why studying knowledge management is so important today. Numerous research studies have linked style organizational leadership, and have had excellent results (Vega & Zavala, 2004). Investigations of different author relationships are evident between knowledge management and overall leadership models. Their actions may lead private organizations to facilitate sustainability, which is defined as an organization that:Over time it has superior financial results. Adapts its management to the intensity of theconditions of the industry environment and market forces. It focuses on undeveloped spaces andmakes a detailed study of its competitors designing and running productively value chain. It isimportant that you get efficient performance in managing the consistency of its action, identifyingits sectoral environment and government policies, avoiding morbidity states that hinder theirprofitable growth and can reach thematic states. Encourages the alignment of people with thecompany, building knowledge and quality in the processes of social interaction. (Rivera, 2012,p.107)
