The work aims to show that, throughout the first half of the twenty century, there was a singular attempt to write a new story of the country, which it was away of the traditional models put by the Colombian Academy of History, and more closer to the narration of a colonial and national past ingrained to the mores and daily practices of the popular areas. Through the Enrique Otero D´Costa´s work I note that the academic history cannot be conceived such as homogeneus, as well as suggested by the same colombian historiography over time.
