The document presents public policy recommendations for the Directorate of Innovation and Business Development of the National Planning Department DNP, which are aimed at encouraging the use of alternative financing mechanisms to traditional credit by entrepreneurs and SMEs, such as the Seed capital, venture capital, crowdfunding, factoring, Private Equity Funds, corporate debt and the Capital Market. The recommendations were the result of an analysis that related a review of the international literature on the alternative financing mechanisms implemented in the world economies that have a strong, consolidated capital market with great influence, such as that of the United States and England, and in the economies from Latin America belonging to the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA) and Brazil, a mapping of the situation of these instruments in Colombia and a series of interviews that were conducted with experts and policy makers.
