The object of the present article is to analyze the aesthetics of Rock music in terms of the experience that this musical genre offers to the listener. The first part of the article will be dedicated to the elaboration of a relation between The birth of tragedy of Nietzsche and the emergence of Rock, under the premise that the origin of Rock is eminently Dionysian; in second place, it will be shown a form of the experience in the everyday life of the Rock listener, where the necessity of expression of the feelings of pleasure and displeasure in the individual will be accounted; finally, the concert will be shown as the utter expression of Rock, expression that is framed in the characteristic of a celebration-ritual that keeps similarities whit Greek tragedy. These elements give account of a way of seeing the world in which the individuality is constituted inside the elective community.
