abstract

  • The current case study looks to identify the conflicts and different dynamics that occur within the public space, through the use and appropriation of that same public space, in this case the Center of Usaquen. Therefore it approaches the concept of public space with an open view, as it does with its uses and appropriation. Following a qualitative investigation for a unique case study, focused on observation and a series of interviews. Likewise, the case study makes it clear that the public space is used as a medium for economic benefit that requires a more real regulation produced by the district entities that are in charge in the urban development and the public space management.
