  • Bacterial resistance is a global problem also affecting our countrywhich may lead to therapeutical failure, poor clinical outcomes, and use of thecombined therapy, increasing risk of drugs interaction and of the adverse reactions,as well elevating the treatment costs. Tigecycline, is a novel antibiotic ofglicylcyclyne class that has showed a promising in vitro antibacterial activity againstcommon bacteriae including multiresistant which are being more prevalent in ourcountry, specially at hospital level. This study was developed in order to determinetigecycline activity in our local conditions as well to know its potential usefulness.
