abstract

  • Based on the importance that is been given to the concept of Social Responsibility (SR) worldwide and with the understanding that organizations in the supply chain are important for an effective implementation of a SR policy in any organization, the present work attempts to diagnose the SR of contractors that have potential impacts on relevant matters considered by Equión Energia along the guidelines of ISO 26000. The document will focus on Equión Energía, an organization based in Colombia with the operations of projects for exploration and production of hydrocarbons in the department of Casanare. For the development of the company's activities, Equión has approximately 150 national and international contractors that provide goods and services. The diagnosis will be used as an input to define a path of gradual adjustment to promote SR in the supply chain. The ultimate goal is to improve the management of SR aspects in the procurement and contracting processes that the company currently has. Achieving the goal, the company will be able to contribute to a sustainable development of the regions where it operates.
