  • The interest of this case study is to analyze the way in which the Spanish investment affects the Cuban economy to be generated at the island prospects of economic transition since 1991. Explains the situation in which expectations regarding the possible Cuban economic transition evidenced revolve around to perspective as law reforms, economic linkages generated with new associates, and the reappearance of private property in the Cuban environment. However, the U.S. embargo, the persistence of the Castro regime, his apparent lack of will to change and non-implementation of some decisions of the National Assembly act as a counterpart of the transition process. It’s a research that manages a descriptive-analytic methodology, where concepts of international relations are employed to achieve greater comprehension.
