  • In this research, the social and educational trajectories of three graduates of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia are reconstructed in order to identify the social mechanisms that led them to have a successful educational experience, understood as: the possibility of accessing the university, stay, graduate and practice as a professional. In-depth interviews were applied, for the analysis concepts from the sociology of education were used, such as capitals, cultural capital and illusio. It was possible to identify the influence of the family, social, educational and cultural institutions in motivating and obtaining skills that allowed the configuration of a successful educational experience.
