abstract

  • Most of businessmen have a desire, and it’s that their companies have as much presence around the world as be possible. Despite of this, there is just a few of them that achieve it. And there are fewer who are lasting in the international markets. All these things happen mostly because they don’t know that environment. Specially, cause the Colombian entrepreneur is characterized by not having a long scope vision, not trying to establish on the international market. This degree thesis is done in order to help the Colombian entrepreneurs on this objective. Showing a deeper context of, in this case, the United States of America market (specifically the states of Texas, South Carolina and Tennessee), with the purpose of giving tools to the companies to make easier the international operations. All of this is done through the Free Trade Agreement between Colombia and United States, which is in force since 2012. The methodology implemented in this document, includes a bibliographic review that explains the importance of the entrepreneurial internationalization; furthermore, the research in data bases to create an exporter/importer profile at the level of country and state; and the identification of market potentialities and opportunities that the Colombian businessman could have on this specific states.
