Today there are countless new opportunities to create potential markets for the export of the products of a country, since it is a main source for the economic growth of the nation, generating income according to the sector that exports and its production. In this investigation it is considered elementary to identify those administration policies that are used in the most important seaports in the world, so that they are applied in the Port of Buenaventura, as the axis of exports in Colombia. Therefore, it is important to start the study by establishing the current addressing scheme of the Port of Buenaventura through the existing official documentation, so that it was possible to propose to the Port of Buenaventura the establishment and execution of best practices at the level administrative systems that have been developed by the main seaports in the world. The areas together with the regional port societies in Colombia are of great importance for the international trade economy, therefore, it is essential to have technological loading platforms, in addition to efficiently integrating all the production and innovation processes, which allow apply demanding administrative policies that contribute to the sustainable expansion of capacity of a powerful market that impacts worldwide. It is considered that this research is of a qualitative nature that leads to be analyzed from a descriptive - explanatory approach, since specific characteristics of a phenomenon on the administration policies used in the most important seaports of the world were specified, in turn it is contemplated For this study, collect the information deemed necessary to address the objectives formulated for this research study. Finally, it is expected that through the results, a proposal for the establishment and execution of the best practices at the administrative level developed by the main seaports in the world will be presented to the Port of Buenaventura in order to be initially located as one of the main seaports at the level of Latin America so that later you can scale positioning your international trade in other continents.
