The War of the Spanish Succession it is a historic event with important international consequences, however it has been poorly studied and analyzed by the academy. Therefore, this paper using International Relations as a discipline, seeks to analyze which were the most important international consequences of the War of the Spanish Sucession, in order to establish the impact that this historical event produced in the configuration of the European international system of XVIII century. As a result, this paper seeks to demonstrate that the War of the Spanish Succession contributed to the strengthening of the United Kingdom as an empire and the weakness of Spain and France.
