Corrupción, reforma y realidad. Incidencia de la corrupción publicada por los medios de comunicación en la estructura de la policía nacional de Colombia (1993 – 2012)

The aim of the research is to analyse the impact of police corruption from 1993 to 2012 in the internal structure of the Colombian National Police. The first chapter poses a state of art of police corruption. It also looks at the theories under which the world has understood the phenomenon, looking to generate plausible solutions to a scourge to which many police forces around the world interfere. The second chapter evaluates in a quantitative way how the cases of corruption have changed the structure of the National Police, and how they have been evanescent. The third chapter searches the impact and structural changes from the perspective of the members of the police force, using data collection in a qualitative way through interviews and surveys. The fourth chapter analyses the influence of directors of the police in the combat against police corruption and how it establishes a relationship between the subordinates and managers when such behaviors are carried out. Finally, the text points out the conclusions after the completion of the research work.
