  • Nowadays organizations have found a strong pressure to adapt to a competitive world with declining profits and constant uncertainty on their cash flow. These circumstances require organizations to continuous improve seeking new ways to manage their processes and resources.For Managed Services organizations in the telecommunications sector, one of the most important competitive advantage is productivity, because their profits depends directly on the number of activities that can run each employee. The challenge is to do more with less and with better quality. To achieve this, the need to effectively manage human resources appears, and this is where compensation systems take an important role.The goal of this study is to design and implement a variable compensation model for a Managed Services Organization in the telecommunications sector and thereby contribute to the study of Performance Management and Human Talent Management in Colombia.Its implementation allowed the documentation of the design and implementation of a variable compensation model in a project of the telecommunications sector in Colombia. Its design embraces remunerative programs trends and performance management theories for a comprehensive model that allows sustained growth in the long term and the motivation of the most important organizational resource that is human talent. Its application also allowed the documentation of problems and successes in the implementation of these models.
