“Todos necesitamos la sanidad que solo el señor puede darnos”: métodos terapéuticos alternativos de sanación en la iglesia neopentecostal el lugar de su presencia
Thesis
Taking into account the changes that have occurred within contemporary spirituality and after the spiritual search of millions of people around the world, this work describes in detail a religious-therapeutic model that links the corporal, the mental and the spiritual in order to heal and liberate people. Likewise, it is proposed to critically reflect on the benefits of these processes and the ruptures and confrontations on the part of parishioners who reject discipline and the drastic change of their habits or beliefs. In addition, an analysis was made of the therapeutic dimension of neo-Pentecostal spirituality. From an ethnography, semi-structured interviews, participant observation, informal conversations and coexistence with the attendees of the El Lugar de Su Presencia church, done between 2018 and 2019 in Bogotá, Colombia. At first, the pastoral discourse and the use of an emotional language that links the therapeutic and the religious were analyzed. Finally, a disputed relationship was found between the therapeutic / religious in the training process that promises to get well-being and healing from a contemporary and spiritual notion.
