abstract

  • The purporse of this thesis is the application of a model for the measurement of occupational fatigue, that allows a comprehensive diagnosis and the formulation of intervention plans for administrative and assistance personnel working in Health Services Providers (IPS). The Swedish Occupational Fatigue Inventory (SOFI) was considered, adjusted to the technicalities of the Colombia´s Spanish language, including in this, questions associated with labor dynamics in Colombia. The model aims to evaluate fatigue in a multidimensional way and allows for individual or joint comparisons for each of the dimensions (Sebastián Cárdenas et al., 2008). The empirical strategy is quantitative and the central conclusión is that SOFI is a relevant model for Colombia in order to measure working fatigue. In fact, it is provided evidence of fatigue related to physical, mental, emotional and shift work in most of the administrative and assistance personnel of the studied IPS.
