  • This document contains the Design of Application of ISO 26000: 2010 Management Model of Social Responsibility for San Carlos Hospital Foundation, Bogota - Colombia, which includes the tool that was designed for the development of the study, based on the applicable requirements of the standard guide to socially responsible behavior; and also the initial diagnosis made in the organization under study from a qualitative and quantitative perspective, compared to the standard guidelines presented as essential elements: Principles and Fundamental Matter. In the same way and according to the methodology defined for the study that was observational descriptive qualitative interpretive court, the SWOT matrix of the institution shown by diagnosis, with the respective derivatives analysis and interpretation of findings evidenced in the process of evaluation; which was identified that in the San Carlos Hospital Foundation meets with 47. 97% of the requirements of social responsibility according to the ISO 26000: 2010 standard, with the achievement of the 71 criteria from 148 evaluated and applicable to the organization, observing special fragility in the components Strengthening on the Community, Employment Practices and Transparency with compliance was below of 50%. Furthermore, and as a fundamental purpose of the study presents the design for the implementation of the ISO 26000: 2010 standard in the IPS San Carlos Hospital Foundation, during the process of implementation of this international model of social responsibility is quite important to keep on mind the strategies and mechanism suggested by the authors making it easier and more pragmatic to implement, also become a design application of the standard that can be referenced by healthcare organizations or not, interested in working in social responsibility. For the structure of the design and application of the standard according to the study arise 7 Steps to be followed by organizations in a systematic, methodical and orderly manner; understanding the social responsibility; recognize their social responsibility; raise a SWOT matrix based on an institutional assessment; plan; structure and define Social Responsibility within the organization; awareness, disseminating and training standards ISO 26000: 2010 standard; document the pattern of Social Responsibility; Implementing Social Responsibility model; and monitor the model by a mechanism that integrates a system of comprehensive audit and review of management.
