abstract

  • The Iraq war conducted in 2003 by the U.S., revealed a particular type scenario of asymmetric warfare, in which was exposed medially the role of Private Security Military Firms, as key players in strategic terms for the development of these conflicts. Thus arises the interest for analyzing the causes that argued the use of private military firms for military intervention in Iraq in 2003, providing a perspective that articulates different conceptual positions, to understand the strategic decision took by the U.S. Government, in the context of a war that took longer than expected and highlighted the role of these companies.
