  • Since the seminal work of Emery and Trist (1965),the literature on business management encouragescompanies to adapt to the changing environment, tocope with turbulent business environment. In the lastdecade it has taken hold a perspective that suggestsdeveloping a structural link between the businessenvironment and the strategic behavior of firms tocope with turbulence. Looking to explore thisalternative, this article uses qualitative case studymethodology and documentary content analysis tosupport the case of the mobile telecommunicationsindustry in Colombia.
