OBJECTIVE: To explore the beliefs and attitudes towards suicide amongsuicide committed by children, adolescents and older adults in health care personnel who contribute to patienthealth care personnel who contribute to the management of patients with mental disorders, patients with amental disorder, medical and psychology students and general population.general population. METHOD: Exploratory, cross-sectional study, in which three versions of an instrument based on a case study will be applied.versions of an instrument based on a fictitious case (obituary) of a person (child, adolescent, elderly).(child, adolescent, older adult) who committed suicide, to 4 population groups (patients with chronic mental disorders (patients with chronic mental disorders; health care personnel who contribute to the management of the (psychiatrists, psychologists and nurses), medical and psychology students, and the population; medical and psychology students and general population). The participant evaluates the suicitogenic and protective factors in the case. A cross-cultural adaptation of the cross-cultural adaptation of the instrument for the elderly will be made and the other versions for children and adolescents will be child and adolescent versions will be constructed. Las creencias y actitudes pueden ser predictores de la conducta en los sereshumanos. El suicidio es un problema de salud púbica que representa altos costossociales, emocionales y económicos, entre otros. Conocer las creencias yactitudes hacia el suicidio puede contribuir a la formulación de estrategias para laprevención del mismo. OBJETIVO: Explorar las creencias y actitudes hacia elsuicidio cometido por niños(as), adolescentes y adulto(as) mayores en personal dela salud que contribuye al manejo del paciente con trastorno mental, pacientes condiagnóstico de trastorno mental, estudiantes de Medicina y Psicología y poblacióngeneral. MÉTODO: Estudio exploratorio, transversal, en el se aplicarán tresversiones de un instrumento basado en un caso ficticio (obituario) de una persona(niño, adolescente, adulto mayor) que se suicidó, a 4 grupos poblacionales(pacientes con trastorno mental crónicos; personal de la salud que contribuye almanejo del paciente con trastorno mental (psiquiatras, psicólogos y enfermeros);estudiantes de Medicina y Psicología y población general). El participante evalúalos factores suicidogénicos y protectores en el caso. Se hará la adaptacióntranscultural del instrumento para adulto mayor y se construirán las otrasversiones para niño y adolescente.
