El propósito de esta conferencia es reunir por primera vez a la naciente red latinoamericana de investigación en economía de la salud, una iniciativa de la Dirección de Investigaciones Socioeconómicas de la Corporación Andina de Fomento – Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF) y La Universidad de Montevideo. El objetivo de la misma es compartir y discutir proyectos académicos con el más alto nivel de rigurosidad técnica, realizados por economistas latinoamericanos o con temas de interés relacionados con América Latina y el Caribe. La Universidad del Rosario será la sede del primer congreso de la red, dándoles la oportunidad a sus profesores y estudiantes de doctorado y maestría de posicionarse en esta área del conocimiento, y facilitar la creación de nuevos proyectos a nivel regional en los cuales la Facultad tenga un rol central.
The purpose of this conference is to bring together for the first time the nascent Latin American research network on health economics, an initiative of the Directorate of Socioeconomic Research of the Andean Development Corporation - Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and the University of Montevideo. The objective of the event is to share and discuss academic projects with the highest level of technical rigor, carried out by Latin American economists or with topics of interest related to Latin America and the Caribbean. The Universidad del Rosario will host the first congress of the network, giving its professors and doctoral and master's students the opportunity to position themselves in this area of knowledge, and to facilitate the creation of new projects at the regional level in which the Faculty plays a central role.
