- En el presente documento se describen las características de un grupo de pacientes esquizofrénicos hospitalizados a los que se diagnosticó Cov-2 del SRAS. El número total de pacientes esquizofrénicos con COVID-19 positivo en el momento de esta investigación era de 46. Durante un brote interno en la clínica, todos los pacientes hospitalizados fueron diagnosticados mediante pruebas PCR. La mitad de los pacientes no mostraron síntomas de COVID-19, 22 (47,8%) pacientes padecían enfermedades asociadas, incluyendo hipertensión y dislipidemia, cuatro pacientes tuvieron que ser trasladados a un Hospital General para tratamiento de neumonía, y ninguno de los pacientes requirió tratamiento en UCI. Todos los pacientes se recuperaron. Veinte de los pacientes recibían clozapina como tratamiento antipsicótico.
- Herein, the characteristics of a group of hospitalized schizophrenic patients diagnosed with SARS Cov-2 are reported. The total number of COVID-19 positive schizophrenic patients at the time of this investigation was 46. During an internal outbreak in the clinic, all inpatients were diagnosed via PCR tests. Half the patients showed no symptoms of COVID-19, 22 (47.8%) patients suffered from associated diseases including hypertension and dyslipidemia, four patients had to be transferred to a General Hospital for pneumonia treatment, and none of the patients required ICU treatment. All patients recovered. Twenty of the patients were on clozapine as antipsychotic treatment.
