Professor of Career at the Universidad del Rosario for the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He belongs to the Biomedical Engineering program that is in agreement with the Julio Garavito Colombian School of Engineering. He is part of the GIBIOME research group in the areas of Rehabilitation Engineering and Bioinstrumentation. He is part of the Rehatek research hotbed of the Universidad del Rosario. He belongs to the team of teachers that are developing the interprofessional education model (MEIP) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Universidad del Rosario. In 2018 he received recognition as a distinguished professor from the Universidad del Rosario. That same year he traveled to the University of Malta thanks to the Erasmus Plus Exchange program. He taught a short course on the Internet of Things to graduate students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In 2019, he won the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) fellowship granted by the Government of Canada that allowed him to carry out a research stay at the University of Alberta School of Rehabilitation Medicine for six months. In 2020, the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce granted him a research patent entitled 'High Precision Trace Capture and Tracking Device' for a system that allows knowing the position of a magnet in an active matrix of hall effect sensors with a minimum resolution of 1 mm.
