Professor in School of Medicine and Health Sciences -Universidad del Rosario. PhD in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Ghent (Belgium) and PhD in Biological Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana; with more than 14 years of experience in university education and scientific research, developing biotechnology projects in health. Director of more than 30 undergraduate and graduate theses. Visiting researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Co-founder and CTO of the biotechnology startup DOGMA BIOTECH (2023). Winner of the Biennial Awards for best research work in health (2019) and in Innovation (2023) from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Currently I have two patents in Biotechnology.
