Full Professor at the Faculty of International, Political and Urban Studies. Researcher in the lines of politics and socio-environmental dynamics, democracy and society, member of the observatory of networks and collective action.
Publication of two large collective works with national and foreign academics, namely: the Handbook of Research on Transitional Justice and Peace Building in Turbulent Regions (Igi-global) and the text Nonviolent Political Economy: Theory and Applications (Routledge). Also two books on renewed forms of opposition and on the forgotten of peace (Universidad del Rosario editorial).
Added to this are various book chapters and articles on topics such as the problems of extractivist economies, the economy in times of peace and conflict, emotions and conflict, the conflict between Israel and Palestine, asymmetric borders and migration, liberal peace in the Magdalena Medio and other more theoretical works about social choice and uncertainty and about the euthanasia of the rentier. In recent months there have been numerous columns in La Silla Vacía about the environment, society and the economy in times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The research nourishes my elective course "nonviolent political action", the Colombian economic policy course and the modules of political economy in the master's degree and collective action in the new specialization on governance and territory.
