The program is designed to cover the study of international human rights law and international humanitarian law, based on knowledge of their theoretical foundations and institutional protection mechanisms, as well as analysis of their efficiency and effectiveness. To that end, both traditional problems and the new paradigms and trends experienced by the national and international community are analyzed. It is an interdisciplinary program that provides tools from a legal perspective, but it also takes into account different views provided by professors and students in areas such as philosophy, sociology, political science and international relations, among others.
