Graduate Diploma in Perfusion and Extracorporeal Circulation  |  Degree

The Graduate Diploma in Perfusion and Extracorporeal Circulation aims to train professionals who wish to specialize in the management of extracorporeal circulation, or in the use of cardiopulmonary bypass machines that enhance control of blood flow in neonatal, pediatric and adult patients with congenital or acquired cardiovascular disease who require such support. These machines take over the functions of the heart by replacing its pumping action and oxygenating the blood. This process also provides support for other specialities, such as thoracic surgery, neurology and oncology. The program is aimed at professional nurses.
