The Master’s in Journalism offered by the Universidad del Rosario, Grupo Semana and RCN Radio and Television was launched on February 7, 2011, becoming the first program of its kind in Colombia and the only one that is currently taught in conjunction with media groups. Students of this Master’s program will carry out two semesters of part-time professional practice (“office residencies”) at Semana Publications and RCN Radio and Television*.In addition, the program has two defining strands:1. A journalistic endeavor that aims to shape professionals that create, innovate or engage in media organizations.2. Students trained in the use of databases and other technical tools specific to the social sciences, in order to carry out research.*Subject to availability at the offices of Semana Publications and RCN Radio and Television.
