This paper aims to analyze the military relations between Russia and the Czech Republic in order to assess its impact on the repositioning of Russia as a big power and its repercussion in Central Europe. The paper focuses on how in the past years the relation of both countries has been defined by the political instability and the insecurity which have led into a weak link and those elements above have consequences in the Russian project and keep it off from taking the leadership in the region. Such project is based on the elements of national power from tHe Classic Realism and they allow to study all the relevant aspects of the setting up of the Russian project and to realize its effectiveness in front of the Czech Republic, who is into the European dynamics.
