  • Triquetral impingement is a medical condition that affects the wrist and is characterized by compression of the triquetral complex. This condition can be caused by different factors, such as traumatic injuries, joint wear, repetitive movements of the wrist or misalignment of the carpal bones. When the triquetral bone is compressed, it can cause inflammation, pain and limitation of wrist movements, which is why the objective of this paper is to describe the case of a patient over 18 years of age with wrist pain caused by TILT syndrome. managed by the hand surgery service of the Méderi University Hospital, barrios unidos headquarters in 2021, through a case report in which a clinical picture of chronic pain of more than 7 years of evolution is documented, without alteration in the arcs of mobility but with the presence of pain on palpation who after failure of a trial of conservative therapy with physical therapy and analgesic management given the persistence of pain, underwent a wrist arthroscopy finding entrapment of the extensor carpi ulnaris on the right wrist, moderate radiocarpal synovitis and with adhesion syndrome, in addition to intra-articular free bodies present, the wrist free bodies were extracted, intracapsular release of adhesion syndrome, resection of the wrist lesion, with a subsequent significant decrease in pain, evidencing the importance of an adequate and early diagnosis of patients with TILT syndrome.
