Between grandmother's remedies, stories, advice and speculation, Colombia is characterized by getting ahead with everything, even the covid-19. Not to mention the country in a generalized way, it is worth noting that in the southwest of the country is Cauca, one of the 32 departments that make it up and where very peculiar events happened in its capital Popayán, as a result of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus. Popayán gave what to talk about since the pandemic sent to lock up everyone. The mayor of the city, Juan Carlos López Castrillón, attracted the attention of more than one media outlet, first, because the president had just arrived from Bogotá, where he was the host of an event called “Live Popayán in Bogotá”, in the one who had close contact with the attendees, with the press and even with the President of the Republic. Second, because the mayor's contagion spread to some members of his entourage, and from there, a chain of contagions from ordinary citizens, businessmen, neighbors and acquaintances resulted.
