  • The agricultural products planted in Colombian territory have been one of the most important factors of the economy and the food security for their habitants. A country, that have one of the largest varieties of thermal soil in the region, also have products such as rice and corn to be grown on this land, be part of a group of products of tradition and high influence in the country, as well as The African oil palm. They are based on a contemporary agricultural economy rooted in the exploitation of resources for food and agro-industrial production.The Colombian government has tried to maintain a policy that protects the farmer and the consumer and private enterprise, based on principles of sovereignty, security and food autonomy. These aspects have failed in their execution and in the development of their contents, as a result of this, a food vulnerability is suffered at a time when their habitants do not enjoy the main right to feeding. Taking into account that the agricultural exploration increases in real terms of agribusiness and others, delaying the possibility of guaranteeing a decent diet for the neediest population.In this investigation, we will study the variables recognized in the agricultural economy and the agricultural products within the family basket, such as rice, beans, corn, potatoes, and African oil palm. Through a quantitative study will analyze the same and their situation in order to emphasize the vision that cross the Colombian nation through food security with respect his citizens.
