abstract

  • This monograph is the result of ethnographic research that explored part of the changes in the roles that indigenous Kichwa women have had in their migratory trajectories. This work seeks to analyze the dynamics of migration of these women within relations of kinship and transnational trade, and in this way, to make visible the changes that they have had in their role as women within the community. Since the women in this community have not been directly investigated as migrants beginning to travel alone, I focused on understanding these women's daily lives in an environment where their work and social position has not been sufficiently studied.
