The present research answers the following question “what was the influence of the operation Vuelo del Ángel on the modernization of military forces of Colombia (1998 - 2006)?” This, with the aim of defending the “Vuelo del Ángel” Operation, which for Military Forces meant passing to an offensive position and being able to identify the different weaknesses, thus having to face armed conflict and initiating a process of modernization that will enable the Army to optimize the way they operate. To test the hypothesis of the research it will carried out, first, documentary analysis and second, interviews will be conducted that will help to describe the “Vuelo del Ángel” Operation Military.
