abstract

  • This article presents a reflection on the place and the relevance of the philosophy of art in an artworld in which anything can be a work of art, from the theoretical proposal of Arthur Danto. If the philosophy has something to say about art, it would be from a position that recognizes the centrality of the artistic practice without demarcating it. The opening in the art cannot be a matter of denial or trial, but an incentive to the thought. However, according to Danto, this requires to accept points of departure and consequences which alter the relationship between art and philosophy. What are the conditions of this relationship is the task that exposes this article.
