abstract

  • In the last few years, the innovation capacity has taken a special importance because of the potential and investment opportunities it generates. New ideas and new forms to implement the processes have become a valuable income, impossible to replicate. The follow up of the innovation indexes show in a precise and clear way, how they have been advancing in this subject the different territories, highlighting the efforts in investment and the development of capabilities. These measurements take special importance when talking about the new blocks of integration, like the Pacific Alliance. This bloc composed by Colombia, Peru, Mexico, and Chile, have shown a series of positive results regarding the increase in exports and interregional commerce. However, there is still no conclusive study that shows how innovation has increased in the region due to the agreement. The present work looks to show in an effective way how the change has been generated and in what way the innovation results have increased or decreased. Through a thorough analysis of variables and countries it looks to show the regional potential and how the measurements have changed since the bloc creation.
