abstract

  • The present research aims to approach supply chain management models for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Consequently, the study will focus on the selection, analysis and comparison of existing models in literature by examining their characteristics, purposes and contributions to an optimal management of supply chains of these type of companies. The study is based on the premise that good supply chain management in SME companies will improve business performance, thus raising the firm's productivity, competitiveness and profitability levels.In addition, this research also aims to issue some recommendations for SMEs from the analysis exercise developed.In order to achieve these objectives, we will try to collect and analyze the literature on this research problem in order to apply a comparative analysis based on established evaluation criteria.
