abstract

  • Body marks, over the time, have gone from being used as status indicators or transitions in the life cycle, realizing the role of the person who carried them or as stigma, punishment or punitive measure, as they were used in ancient Rome where prisoners of war and slaves were tattooed (tattoos are irreversible forms of body modification. Their uses have varied with the Caplan, (2000). Today this practice has expanded so that its uses are multiple, difficult to track in a particular group, or differentiated, so the present study is in the commercial tattoo scenario in the city of Bogotá, Colombia.
