abstract

  • This work is based on identifying and consulting the four input variables that characterize culture in organizations, according to the methodology and characterization model by Méndez (Méndez Álvarez, 2006), in his book Culture and Climate: foundations for change in the organization. For the development of this study, a sample of twenty companies is selected which, according to Forbes Mexico magazine, are the best to work at the international level (Forbes Staff, 2018) and the first ten companies from the list of fifty largest companies in Colombia according to article of the channel. (Pabón, 2018) According to the model of characterization and identification of the variables culture and organizational climate of the companies, it is concluded that the organizations that opted for a model based on humanitarian organizational culture, bring with it conditions to increase the level of productivity. However, for the Colombian national companies, it was possible to identify that the culture model that stood out is the explicit model, limiting the productivity of resources in organizations. With the humanitarian culture model, performance and efficiency are greater than an explicit culture model.
