Starting in 2010, the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF) created a state program which it called Project Dreams and which continues to function to this day, with the aim of providing an opportunity for young people to enter higher education. who grew up under the protection of the Colombian State, these being the ones who were not adopted or reintegrated into biological families. This program has benefited more than 7,000 thousand users, of which only 400 have graduated, that is, 5%. This work evidences the structural failures in the psychosocial support for ICBF university students, the main cause of the dropout of university students, 1,250 are inactive or have dropped out, that is, 16% of the total population that have benefited. The objective is to carry out constructive criticism and, thus, improve psychosocial care for young people who are in college, so that there is a greater number of graduates and the number of dropouts is reduced to one digit.
