In this thesis we investigate the opportunities and challenges brought by the implementation of artificial intelligence in the Colombian conflict resolution system. For this purpose we will expose: (i) a brief introduction to what artificial intelligence systems are; (ii) the need for their use for dispute resolution; (iii) some scenarios and examples of how such technology could be used in judicial and extrajudicial processes in Colombia; iv) the risks that must be mitigated for its implementation; v) the experiences that other latitudes have had with the regulation of artificial intelligence vi) the Colombian legal framework for its implementation and finally, vii) some changes that artificial intelligence implies for ADR will be presented.
